Finally!

A column headshot I can live with. Major props to my friend Islam (that's his actual name) for taking this and the other 267 or so digital photos I rejected before settling on this one.

I daresay the column's worth reading as well; it deals with proposed changes to the backasswards liquor laws in my state.

To hell with the Patriots!

Hey, Jen,...you are drop-dead gorgeous in that photo. In fact, I like it as well as the one here on your blog - maybe even better.

Awww, thanks, guys.

Yes, I'm quite pleased with this one. 'Tis a keeper.

I daresay the column was pretty good, too. Ahem.

Haven't read it yet. I'm saving the more-than-a-swift-glance stuff for after the 2nd or 3rd cup of coffee kicks in - I've only been up a half an hour. Stay warm!

I'm thinking you should have posted a series of them and let us vote. Actually, you should do that, let us vote for the blog pic.

With pics like that to look at who bothers with the articles?

Caveman, the idea is that the photo will ENTICE people to read the article.

And I AM toying with the idea of replacing the blog photo. It's over two years old at this point.

Really? You think people are drawn to read things because they are accompanied by a photo of someone attractive? That might draw one's eye to an article initially, but I doubt it would be enough to induce one to read a boring or crappy article. Even if it were, it probably wouldn't work more than once.

I finally read your piece; you're right - it's pretty good. It seems a bit different in tone than what you usually write - milder perhaps. I liked it.

Which, I hope, will be enough for them to want to read the whole thing.

Is that why they have all those naked women in Playboy? So I will read the articles about cars I can't afford and restaurants that serve wine that costs more than my monthly income?

Uh, Caveman, you DID notice that I'm fully dressed in the picture, right?

Ever seen that old Ray Milland movie, "The Man With X-Ray Eyes"? That's CL - constantly having to put drops in his eyes to keep from going blind, too. It's a curse, I tell ye, a curse.

Perhaps they were drunk when they wrote those laws
